Join the ROSP Lab

Are you looking to gain research experience, considering graduate school in psychology or a related field, or passionate about suicide prevention?

We’re currently seeking Volunteer Research Assistants to join the Recovery-Oriented Suicide Prevention (ROSP) Lab at the San Diego VA Hospital and UC San Diego. Our work focuses on integrating recovery and strengths-based approaches to develop and evaluate suicide prevention interventions, especially those that amplify the voices of individuals with lived and living experiences.


Possible Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Supporting study participants

  • Assisting with qualitative and quantitative data

  • Conducting literature reviews

  • Working with research staff on customized tasks aligned with your academic and professional goals

  • Actively engage in lab meetings, discussions, and ongoing research activities


Requirements:

  • Interest in clinical psychology and suicide prevention

  • Desire to work with Veterans and individuals with lived/living experience of suicidal thoughts, psychosis, or bipolar disorder

  • Minimum 1-year commitment

  • Minimum of 6 hours/week (PSYC 199 credit available)

  • Minimum 3.5 GPA

  • U.S. Social Security Number required
